Still thinking about language this morning for some reason. While our previous blog M and K in Qatar seemed like a good name at the time, I am not happy with M and K in UAE because we have been here long enough to know better. It should be “M and K in the UAE”, but the problem with that is I don’t know if it should be “The” UAE or “the” UAE. Maybe it should be M and K in Al’Ayn?
I like imaginative blog names though, for example Condensed Milk Sandwiches and the Crucial Trucial States, or Health, wealth and all that wisdom, but for whatever reason most bloggers (myself included) are not very imaginative when it comes to names. I could possibly go for a phonetic name like “Em an Kay in Ewe’Ay’EE” but that is just really dumb! Seriously, if that is the best I can come up with at the moment this is going to take some thought which translates into “the name will remain the same for now”!

LOL. Blognames.
When I decided to start blogging, I did loads of research as to what constitutes a good blog name - words do give a lot away, as in they reflect thoughts etc.
However, I find that the name of a blog doesn't matter so much as its content - people are more likely to come back because of the posts as opposed to the name. On the other hand, if one is browsing through a list such as on the UAE Comm blog, it's all in the name (and what appeals to the person looking at the name) ;)
Also, if one leaves comments that other people find interesting, they are likely to come to your blog no matter what the name.
I could go on and on! It's all about marketing, I guess! But...depends on what you want. To have an "interesting" blogname or - "a blogname".
As a last resort, you could of course combine your chosen blogname with the previously discussed 'numbers thing' heheh
If you decide to change your current blogname, good luck, otherwise, I think the current one is mighty fine as it is.

There are always worse names out there. I haven't done a search yet, but I think I might check out how many are called "My Blog" or "(insert name or nickname)'s Blog".
