So went to collect K’s mum from Abu Dhabi last night, and what was a well timed late night drive to the airport, collection and get back home to Al Ain,
turned into a very long wait in the airport in the wee hours of the morning. The flight was delayed by an hour or so we didn’t get back home until about 4am. This means that if you are in arrivals you will sit around with no shops minus a couple of small cafes...
Due to the very long night for us, and long flight for our guest we had
a quiet first day spent mostly catching up and relaxing. We did head out for a bit of a road trip around the streets of Al Ain though and headed up to the airport (see next post) as I have always liked the rolling red dunes in that part of town.
