Friday Morning? Must be in Amsterdam!

I like Abu Dhabi airport! It is always so easy to get through and while crowded and busy, it is never as bad as Dubai... the added bonus is it is so easy to get to from Al Ain (no traffic to fight with).

So last night we flew out of UAE for the first "real" holiday. KLM are ok, but the only problem is if you fly out of Abu Dhbai the flights stop in Bahrain. This makes the trip a bit longer than you really want. So while others sleep and snore away you end up not being very comfortable tossing and turning to the best of a sardines ability. I wonder what it is like to be able to afford 1st class!

So what was the first thing we did in Amsterdam? McDonalds' breakfast of course! Strange the priorities you develop when you have been living in the UAE!

Another important lesson learned (or should I say, freshed in my brain)... while it is nice to get to your destination as quickly as possible, the trip to the destination equally makes the holiday. Next year... stop overs!

Anyway, next stop Boston in the US of A!
