Flag Collection

While I am not a huge fan of the widgets people place on their sites, I must say for the past day I have been interested to see where people are coming to this blog from. Of course it only gives a rough indication but it is still fun.

When I started the Qatar blog a year ago I had in mind that it would be a quick and easy way to keep all our family and friends up to date with what is going on in our lives, and share some of our experiences and images. Given that the majority of the "family and friends" are located in Queensland, Australia it would seem that we may need to give them a not so subtle reminder that even though we have moved countries and are a little behind on our blogging we are still here.

What the flag collection counter (as I think of it as) also reminds you is the global nature of blog audiences; whether you think you have anything worthwhile to share or not is purely academic. Regardless of the "keeping in touch with family" nature of this blog, I think if one post or image here encourages someone else to venture to Al Ain it has been a worthwhile exercise.

I love Al Ain.

Great place to live especially if one is married/has kids.
